GREY LYNN.
The ordinary .meeting of the Grey Lynn Borongli Council was held last night, when there were present: The Mayor (Mr G. : Baildon), Councillors G. J. Garland, J. A. Warnock, F. Brinsdcn, F. Parsons, J. W. Tattersfleld, E. Carr. Main Sewer, Cox's Creek.—The engineer to the Drainage Board wrote stating' that it would be necessary -to at once deal with the sewer at Cos's Creek, where it functioned with the permanent scheme. He estimated the cost at :—O, and asked the Grey Lynn Conncll to contribute half. The Mayor said no plans had been submitted. On the motion of Mr -Tattersfleld, it was resolved to refer the matter to the Streets Committee, plans and specifications for tie proposed work to be asked from the Drainage Board. Farrar Street.—lt was resolved to -proceed at once with the formation of Farrar Street, in accordance with amended plans submitted toy the engineer. Cox's -Creek Channel. —On the motion of the Mayor, it was resolved that Mr J. H. Adams be given formal notice that he must not fill in the channel at Cox's Creek. Power was. given the Mayor to act in the matter, to see that the earth is either removed or that the walls be constructed. Francis Street.—Amended plans for the formation of Francis Street, as submitted by Mr J. Harrison, were approved. Early Sunday Car. —Cr. Tattersfleld expressed regret that no notification bad' been given by the Tramway Company before pntting on the early car last Sunday morning. The result was no one patronised it. He was snre once the public knew that a car ran each Sunday morniing at 22 minutes past 8 o'clock, it would be well patronised.
