A WARATAH HOAX.
SYDNEY, this day. The captain of the steamer Malaita has brought a bottle containing a [>encilled note: '"We are lost. There is no hope.— G.W.E., s.s. Waratah," found at Tanna Island, in the New Hebrides. Marine opinion i 3 that the "'message" is a hoax.
