A YOUTH KILLED.
INJURED WHILE FIRE-FIGHTING.

WHANGAREI, this day. Thomas Ellis and three sons were beating out scrub fires at Jordon yesterday when a tree fell, striking the second son, Donald, on the head and back, causing deep wounds and bruises. The injured lad died three hours later from shock Deceased was 13 years of age. The doctor who attended him gave a certificate as to the cause of death, which was registered before the police were informed 0 so no inquest is being held.
