A FATAL DRINK.

GISBOKNE, Friday.
The man Charles de Thierry, foreman of works lor the Gisborne Harbour Board, who was removed to the hospital on Tuesday night, suffering from carbolic poisoning, died from the results of bis painful mistake this afternoon.
De Thierry, who has been many years in the Board's emply, end wae a steady, reliable man, took a couple of mouthfula of carbo-lie acid in mistake for homemade' beer.
