WELLINGTON, Friday.

Delegates representing We various Dominion branches of the Overseas Club met hi conference jit the Town Hall today. The Mayor welcomed the delegates, and gave an interesting and patriotic addrees.

Sir E. 0. Gibbes was voted to the chair. A Dominion Council wae elected as follows: —Patron, Lord Liverpool; patroness. Lady Liverpool; president, Mr. D. McLaren; vice-presidents, Mr. A. M. Myers, Jl?., of Auckland (North Island), "and Mr. S. A. Holland, of Chrietchurch (South Island); delegates, Messrs. A. M. Myers and H. H. Hume (Auckland), A. iB. Manning (Hamilton), Dr. Warren (Marton), Messrs. W. A. Veitch, MJP. (Wanganui), S. A. Mair (Htmterville), X S. Wood (Palmereton North), L. Gorton (FeiWing), J. Croas (Maeterton), Captain J. Kirk borae), Mr. H. S. Yon Haaet and Captain Barclay (Wellington), Messrs. Feild (Neleon), Boswell the Rev. J. A. Bernstein and Mr. Hume (Chrietchurch). Dr. Macadam (Oamarn), Mesers. •J. F. M. Frazer, EC., and C. Ford (Dunedin), and .T. E. Wateon (Invercargill). Mr. J. K. Maene (Dunedin) was elected secretary, and Mr. R. Xaidlaw (Auckland) treasurer.

Lt was decided that the next conference meet on May 24, 1914, and to send to branches the following subjects for their report:—How best to celebrate Empire and Trafalgar Days, especially ac regards the children, collection of clothing, etc.. for the poor of London', the question of co-operation with kindred societies: the publication of a pamphlet on Xew Zealand.

The question of maintaining rooms in London "was considered, and the suggestion favourably received.

Empire Day was decided upon Oβ the day principally to be celebrated by tne club. •"
