The Chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board (IMr. J. H. Gunson), accompanied by the secretary (Mr. H. B. Burnett), paid an official visit to the thirdclass German cruiser Cormoran. which arrived from Sydney via Wellington yesterday. They -were cordially received by the commander (Captain Ebert), and the latter expressed much pleasure with Auckland, stating that in his opinion the harbour and port of Auckland were the best of those he had seen in New Zealand.
