Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council held on MONDAY, the 16th day of December, 1912, the following Resolution was passed, and will be submitted for Confirmation at a Special Meeting of the Council to be held on MONDAY, the 20th day of January, 1913, at 7.30 p.m.. at the Council Chambers, Mount Eden Road, Mount Eden. RESOLUTION: In exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 190 S. the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby mates, by way of Special Ord-er, a By-law under the Municipal Corporations Act, 190S, to amend the By-law No. 3 of the said Council, made and passed on the 30th day of October. 1911. The object and purport of the proposed By-law are to repeal Paragraph No. 1 of the said By-law No. 3, and to substitute in lien thereof the following, viz:— That paragraph No. 1 of By-law No. 3 shall be repealed on the coming into force of this By-law, and the following be substituted in lieu thereof, viz:— L It shall not be lawful to erect, alter, adxl to, renew, or repair any buildtog (used or to be used for the purpose of any business) which abuts on or with a frontage tft Dominion Road within the Borough of Mt. Eden, or abuts on or with a frontage to Mount Eden Road within the said Borough, unless such building be constructed or brick, stone, or concrete, or of some other permanent material approved by the Council. 2. It shall not be lawful to erect any dwellinghouse to be constructed of materials other than brick, stone, or concrete, or of some other permanent material approved by the Council on any land which abuts on or with a frontage to Dominion Road or Mount Eden Road, respectively, unless such dwellinghouse be erected at least 25 feet back from the frontage to the street line of such Roads respectively. 3. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein or in such By-law No. 3, the Council may waive the strict compliance with such By-law, and permit and allowany building already erected of wood or iron abutting on or with a frontage to Dominion Road or Mount Eden Road respectively to i ,tered ' added to - renewed, or repaired with materials similar to those of which it is composed. attte Office of the Mount Eden Borough ICoancil and is open to the inspection of &S.
