It is estimated that 2A millions sterling will be expended in toys in London during the Christmas season —a million on jewellery, half-a-million on wines and liqueurs, half-a-million on books, and half-a-million on other presents. Compared with 1911. the increase in ! letters, for abroad i- a million. Those for | Australia show au increase of ooS.OOO, while the increase in New Zealand is 142.000. I' There is a record influx of Britishers from America and Canada, every liner being crowded.
