(By Telegraph.*—Own Correspondent.) CDUNEDIN, this day. The Arbitration gC'ourt heard a compensation case, Dougherty v. Milne, claiming £.500 in connection* with the death of plaintiff's husband mat Wyndham on April 8. Deceased had t&een commissioned by jir. Milne, his e'ripployer, to inspect a horse with a view tfflp purchase, and, while walking along the B railway line on his way to inspect the arnimal, he -was struck by an engine and Skilled. . The defence contended that the auecident did not arise out of deceased's employment, and the act of deceased in walking on the railway line was obviously dawngerous and unnecessary.
