Attorney-Genera], in announcing h.s early departure for London, says that he is merely going to recuperate after his strenuous political labours. He had no intention of supplanting the Agent-Ge.n»ral, but did apply to succeed Mr. Coghlan when his term was up, but withdrew the application when Mr. Beeby resigned. Mr. Coghlan's term will probably be extended for two years. He denied the Tumours of bis intention to leave the Labour parry.
