ALLEGED ATTEMPT TO MURDER
Wii'ES THB.OAT CUT. HUSBAND ARRESTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, this day. Robert Schwass was charged this mornmtr with having attempted to murder his wife at Richmond last evening. It is alleged that he cut her throat in the main road. The woman was brought to the hospital in a precarious condition. Schwass, when arrested this morning, was in bed in a room in a barn three miles distant. It is alleged that Schwass had been drinking heavily, and also that there had been domestic quarrels. Accused was remanded for eight days.
