Th" Royal Geological Society has dis Hissed a skull discovered at * Piltdown Sussex, alongside ___sxodon teeth m< ■ flints. The general opinion is that the skxd ' dates from before the period of the cav> man. and that it is possibly Pliocene. It -esembles the skull cf a yo__; I chimpanzee. The jaw is heavy and ape , like, and the forehead steep, with scarcely any brow ridges. This is the first evidence of the primi I tive source whence surviving man __ j arisen.
