RUSSELL REGATTA. GOOD BOWING ASSURED. The keen interest that has been aroosed la the Russell Regatta, to be held on the Saturday between (Christmas and Ne.v Year, indicates clearly that this innovation on the part of the Russell people has met with the hearty support of Auckland aquatic men. Yachtsmen and motor-launch owners have signified their intention of being present to take part In the regatta, and the various rowing clubs in An-ckland nave decided te> send cr—ws to compete In the rowing races. The following entries have -been received:— (Milden Fonr (under lOst). —Waltemat» Whangarei. North Shore, and West Dnd. ' Maiden Four (open weight) Mercer, St. George, Waitemata, Whangarei, North Shore, and West End. Junior Fonr (under lOst).—Whangarei and North Shore (two crews). Maiden Double Sculls.—Waitemata, Nortn Shore, ana Whangarei (two crews). Country Fours.—Mercer and Whangarei (two crrews). Youths' Fours.—Waitemata, Whangarei and North Shore. The emtrles for the single sculling races have been received, but the handi—ns have not yet been de-dared.
