AN ASIATIC CREW.
HEW ZEALAND EMBARGO. CARGO WILL NOT BE HANDLED SYDNEY, December 17. The Japanese tramp steamer Hakushika ilaru arrived at Newcastle this morning rrorn Sydney en route for New Zealand with a load of timber and general cargo. While she was preparing to load hardwood for New Zealand an intimation was receded from the New Zealand Seamen's Lmon that the cargo would not bo handled by New Zealand workers, owing "her being manned by an Asiatic crew, ■lhe loading of the vessel was accordinHv Btopped.
