FOOTBALL.
THE TRIANGULAR TEST. The Wellington Rugby Union, at a recent meeting, discussed the proposed triangular tests between Wellington, Taranaki, and Auckland, and decided to support the proposal. The Union expressed themselves agreeable to meet Taranaki on a Wednesday about the middle of the season, the winner to play Auckland on the Saturday, the net proceeds to be divided between the unions. The question will probably engage the attention of the local committee at an early date, after which the views of the Taranaki Union will be obtained, and there seems every prospect of the scheme being adopted.
