KING GEORGE'S MESSAGE. LONDON, December 16. Kin" George has sent a cablegram to President Taft deploring the death of Mr. Whitelaw Reid, whom His Majesty says he mourns as an old friend. The newspapers pay a warm tribute to the dead Ambassador. In the House of Commons Mr. Asquith paid a tribute to Mr. Whitelaw Reid. He stated that the Government was offering a battleship to convey the remains to America.
