PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS.
CONSTRUCTION WORK STOPPED. (By Telegraph.Press Association.. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. I Pending the determination by Cabinet whether the scheme for the construction ot the new Parliament buildings commenced by the Mackenzie Government is to be continued, or whether some other plan will be followed, all work on the laying of the foundations has been stopped. Work is still proceedinc on the lawn and drives and the w__S_ne oi Bowen Street, but this w_lsoo_ b< completed. Already many hands havi been dispensed with, and in the nea future it is possible that there wfll b even less activity about t-e-grwmds thai >*fcero is to-day.
