REPRESENTATIVE IX AUCKLAND. TO VISIT AUSTRALIA. represent the London Chamber of Com- j nieree in Australia, .Mr. Win. E- Woods j arrived in Auckland by the Union Co.'s mail steamer Marama this'morning. In speaking to a "Star" reporter upon arrival, Mr. Woods said that he liad been deputed by the London Chamber, under the proprietary articles section, to make the trip to Australia and New Zealand in the interest* of London manufacturers. He particularly wished to meet those connected with * the Royal Commission at present taking evidence in New South Wales in regard to food supplies and prices. Mr. Woods anticipate* that he will return to New Zealand in a short time, and while here will take the opportunity of further studying Australasian methods. "The London Chamber of Commerce is_ a very live body," remarked Mr. j Woods in conclusion, "being thoroughly ' up-to-date in ks methods." The various ' classes of businesses have l»en divided into sections, and are attended to by '■ those particularly interested."
