MEETINGS.

ST. ENOCH'S CHURCH. The antual meeting of the congregation of St. Enoch's Presbyterian Church, Morningside, was held last evening. The chair was occupied by the Rev. J. M. Saunders, minister of St. David's Church. The ieport 6tated that under the faithful and energetic ministry of thc Rev. W. A. Keay very substantial progress had been made during the year. The attendance at the Sabbath services bad more than trebled that of the previous period, and the seating capacity of the church had been severe'y taxed. A ladies' guild had been formed, and by their efforts, together with the hearty and generous support of the congregation of both St. 'Enoch's and St. David's, great improvements had been effected to tbe church. A larger organ | had been secured, new seats installed, and the whole of the platfo'm and pulpit rebuilt. The debt on the church propertyhad been reduced by £30. The total income for tbe vear was £395 10/3, the main items being collections £102 16/3, donations £1-1 12/4, sale of work £93 4/9. The expenditure amounted to £369 14/3, includlns mirister's stipend £211, churc_i renovation £-0, reduction of debt £50, raising church £41, leaving a credit balance of £11 18/2. Addresses were given by the Revs. Saunders and Keay, and Mr D. Maepherson (City Missionary). Solos were rendered by Messrs I've and Wren, and a recitation by Mr Donnal. In a eulogistic speech Mr Smith Pye. on behalf of the congregation, presented the Rev. W. -A. Keay with a handsome roll-top desk, suitably inscribed, which elicited a very feeling response from the recipient.

Representative members from the various ' clubs and classes of ttie Association invited their lady friends to the monthly social, which was held last evening in the 2y._nasinm of the Y.M.C.A. Mr Hay P.i.c. chairman of the _ucial Committee, was in rhai-ge of tbe proceedings. Messrs 11. Madinson Cardon, S. L. Exton, and Bert Kent contributed items, while Mr Ourland acted as accompanist. At 0.30 p.m. refreshments were served by the gentlemen, after which Mr J. W. Stewart, viee-prrs'-deut of the Association, gave a short talk. '•Something for everybody to take away."
