ELAXWORKERS SECEDING.

PALMERSTON JJartt, Tuesday.
As the outcome of the recent halfyearly meeting of the Flaxworkers' Association it is regarded as practically certain that that body will withdraw from the Federation of Labour at a special meeting to be held at the beginning of September, thus following the example of the dairy workers. At Saturday's meeting the flaxworkers would mot hear the Federation delegates, but did hear Mr Robertson. MJ\, and rejected the Federation candidate for the presidency by 70 votes to 26.
