CANADIAN CADETS.

PASSING THROUGH AUCKLAND TO-MORROW. Mr. W. A. Beddoe, the Canadian Trade Commissio\aer, received a wireless message this morning from Captain Milllipe, of the Zealandja, stating **«* the Canadian cadets who are on board •re all 'well, and enjoyed a favourable trip. The Zealand! a will arrive at about 9 pan. to-morrow, and Mr. Beddoe Jβ arranging to take the lads fox a motor run on Wednesday morning. By the courtesy of the Commander of H.M.B. Drake, Mr. Beddoe was able to send the following wireless moaeage to the lads: "The Canadian Commissioner sends hearty welcome from under the Southern Crocs. On arrival, you will ccc the flag that for a thousand years has braved the battle *nd the breeze —the good old Union Jack." The cadets, of wham there are 75 on board, axe on their way to Australia, but will subsequently return to New Zealand, landing at the Bluff, And working north. They will give concerts utd drill displays in the various centaes. While in the Dominion, the boy* -mS\. be billeted ont as the Australian lads were in England, and co gam a better know ledge of New Zejrfanders than they would if they pot up at hatek in the ordinary way. Much interest is being taken in the visit, and no doubt a lot of Auckland cadete will be down on the wharf to welcome their young friends. The commission of inquiry into the aAninistartum of the Civil Service completed their four days' sitting in Auckland on Saturday, and left by the Main Trunk express last night tor VEeffinctozL to resume the taking of evidence in that centre.
