She afterwards goes to East Cape Lighthouse, returning to Auckland about tbe end of next week. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tokomaru is due from St. John, via Australian ports, on Monday. The vessel lias about 800 ton? of Canadian merchandise to land here. It is expected that she will sail for the South about Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. JOAN CRAIG IN PORT. The steamer Joan Craig arrived from Newcastle direct at 6.30 o'clock last night and was berthed at the Hobson Street wharf. Moderate winds with a heavy swell were met with during the voyage. On completion of discharge of her cargo here the Joan Craig loads sawn timber for Sydney. ZEALANDIA SAILS FOR AUCKLAND. The Union Co.'s royal mall steamer Zealnndla sailed from Vancouver for Auckland at noon on Wednesday last. The vessel comes via Victoria. Honolulu, nnd Suva. The I'niou Company's Maheno was in touch by wireless with the Wellington Radio Station last night, nnd intimated that the vessel is expected to arrive here nt (> p.m. to-morrow. The departure of the Maheno on the return voyage to Sydney has been postponed till 8 p.m. on Monday. On arrival the vessel berths at the Queen Street wharf. The Tarawera sailed from Gisborne for Auckland at 1.30 p.m. to-day in continuation of her voyage from Hnnedin. She is due here about 3 p.m. to-morrow, and berths at the Hobson Street wharf. STAR OF. SCOTLAND SHORT OF GOAL. Further evidence of the terrific weather vessels bound to Australia from London are meeting with is afforded by the experience of the Tyser liner Star of Scotland. She sailed from London on May 21 for Melbourne. Sydney, and New Zealand ports, and with ordinary weather would certainly have put in appearance at the first port within 40 or 41 days, but so bad was the wenthor that progress was delayed, and she ran short of coal in consequence •of which the unexpected visit to Albany was paid.
