SCOTS IN THE LEAD. f_ RAIN STOPS PLAY. (Received 8.55 a.m.) LONDON, July 12. The match between the Australians and Scotland, in which tbe latter made 280 in their first innings, was continued to-day on a wet wicket. The Australians made 152 and. after Scotland had lost one wicket for 21), rain stopped play. The individual scores were: Mayne 47. Jennings 7, Macartney 17, Bardslev 4. Minnett 1, Kelleway 34, Gregory o,'Smith 3, Matthews 10, Wbitty 3, Webster, not out, 20: sundries G.
YORKSHIRE'S BIG SCORE.
(Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON. July 12. Yorkshire scored the big total of 543 against Kent, Denton making 221.
