civil smrsiGsRESERVED JUDGMENTS. At the Supreme Court to-day, 3klr. Justice Sim delivered two reserved judgments. The first was the judgment of Messrs. Edwards and Sim in the motion by defendant in the case Lucas Shirley Maxwell v. Eagen Langguth, claim Tor damages, for a new trial. It,was held by the Court tbafc the defendant had failed bo establish the contention that the verdict of the jury was against the weight of evidence, and the motion was dismissed with costs, £7 7/. Mr. J. R. Reed appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. MeVeagh for defendant. In the action Helena McPheraon v. Sarah Jane Goodman and Robert Jas. Hamilton, executors of the will' of Samuel MePherson (deceased), Mr. Justice Sim found that thfi plaintiff was entitled to a judgment declaring the diefendants, as executors of MePberson's will, to be trustees for the plaintiff of 1073 acres in allotment No. 7 of seetkm 13, Surrey Hilis district. The plaintiff was allowed costs on tie lowest scale, with disbursements and witnesses' expenses to be fised by the registrar.
