A few pounds of stone from the new reef in tup Volunteer section erf the Tellnrides Properi<?tary mine at Mara-tot-o have been brought to town by the manager, Mr. Willirms. The r«*ef is slated to be quite ;i new one. as the ?toTK' shows free gold right through it, and carried very little silver, an unnsua! feature for that district. The quartz is of a fine class. Another piece of stone that looks well is from Corbett's reef. in the Gordon section. HAURAKI REEFS. (From Our Correspondent.) Under the management of Mr. Autridge, this mine has been opened up, and the first crashing from the block opened up has just been completed. A good return is expected. It is now hoped that thi3 mine will be reporting monthly returns. I .
