Ft i« reported that the rebels, under (ieneral Zapata. numbering over 2000, have captured and Backed the town cf Tepic after severe lighting. Heavy fighting has taken place in the strepts and the big cathedral lias collapsed owing to the artillery fire. There has" been prcat loss of life and much looting of stores is proceeding. A British warship is on its way to the Mexic-an coast to protect the "lives of British subjects. A second -warship is expected to arrive shortly. Jxioting throughout the district continues.
