His Excellency the Governor (Lord Islington), accompanied by Major-Gen-eral Godley (G.0.C.). left, Auckland last evening by the Ngapuhi for Whangarei. to inspect the territorials in camp there, returning this afternoon. Lady Islington was preseat at the boy scouts' display on the Metropolitan. Ground this afternoon.
Their Excellencies tvul be present at the performance of "lOLs. Pina-fore" by the Auckland Operatic Society at Has Majesty's Theatre on Monday night. Lord Islington will leave Au'akland on Tuesday for Hawke's Bay, and will whilo there inspect the territorial -camp at Napier. He will be absent from Auckland for about ten days.
