Some people-are still under the-impres-sion that private wirOias stations are permitted by law. The Government regulation requiring the dismantling of private stations is 'being enforced. It ap in ChristchnTch had intercepted a rammewaal wireless menage from a steamer, and he ■was so proud of his achievement that he informed the recipient of the message of -what he had succeeded in doing. Naturally that person wa» highly indignant, and the result of the com plaint was that notices were served requiring amateur wireless men to-go out <rf (business. It will be at once recognised Jiow necessary such a restriction is, though a petition is now being prepared asking Parliament to recall the regulation. It may be added that the regulation was relaxed in the case of Departmental officers, three of whom are still carrying on experiments.
