OPAKI WIKS TEAKS MATCH. TERRITORIALS WIN'DAWSON SHIELD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TRENTHAM, Wednesday. At Trentham this afternoon the Champion Teams Match at 300 yds., and 600 yds. was fired. Twentytwo teams started, bat owing to a mis onderstansding as to the time limit at 300ydR_ by which they kwt ft»e shots, the New Prymonth team retired. Other teams suffered severely also, losing tip to five shots at the range. The scoring was very good, victory resting -with th*' Opaki team, who put up 484. The United Service Match, for teams of 20 men, representing rifle clubs and territorials, at 300 yds., 500 yds., and 600 yds., was fired after the Teams Match concluded, almost in darkness. The territorials won by 34 points, and arc the holders of the Dawson Shield for the year. The scores were: Territorials. 1.715: Rifle Clubs, 1,881. The best individual scorn was Manefield's 98. In the Hawke's Bay Match. Melville (Waikato), Loveday (Ohura), Head (Akarana), each scored 46. and took £1 prizes. The Tyros who won £1 each included Elliott (Akarana) and Currie (Ohura), each 45: Ootnrir (Auckland) and (Akarana), each 43: Melville (Auckland), 40. In the Taranaki Match, Currie (Ohura) won £2. with 47. and the following took £1 prizes:—Wolley (Auckland). 46: Lcthan (Akarana). 45: Hubbard (Hanraki). 44: and MeWIIe (Waikato). 43. Tvros taking £1 each included lx>mas (Aldtrana). 43: 10/cach. Meh-ille (Akarana) 3D, Elliott (Akarana) and Oomrie , each 38.
