FOOTBALL.
AUCKLAND RUGBY UNION. MEETING OK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. A meeting of the management committee of the Auckland Rugby Union wna held last rvening, when there were ■present. Messrs. <J. H. Dixon (Chairman), 11. f. Sheahan, C. .1. Htitchbury and C. V, ljangsford (secretary), Anntial Meeting: The Annual Meeting of the Union was fixed for Friday, April 12. The Rules: A sub-committee consisting of the chairman and secretary was appointed to revis" the rules and report later. A deputation: A deipntation from the Auckland Kootiball Association iv-aited on the committee with a request that the eommitte grant the Association the use of some of the grounds at Epsom for Association football. The matter was deferred. The Secretary, Mr. C. V. Langsford who at the end of last season announced his retirement from the office of secretary, again stated that he did not intend to seek re-election. The matter was discussed by the committee and considerable pressure brought to bear on Mr. with the result that he at last concented to allow himself to be nominated for the position.
