AUSTRALIAN BUTTER.
HANDICAPPED IN LONDON. (Received 11.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The Agent-General /Mr. T. Coghlan), reporting on the butter r-xport. states that it is an extraordinary fact that no Australian butter is sold in the West End of Ixindon as such, consequently it has no opportunity of winning a name and suffers in price ocoorJingTy. Dealing with the advantages of Danish over Australian butter, he stiites that the former is uniform in quality and in this respect New Zealand also has an advantage over Australian. Only inferior qualities are sold as Australian. If these conditions were altered a proper price would be obtained.
