The assembly of the Free Church of Scotland, sitting at Edinburgh, passed a resolution that Heme Rule for Ireland would inflict a grievous wrong o n the Protestant section of the population. The "Times'' states that tlipre is reajon to believe that the ( abinct i> divided on the Irish request for indopend?nt Custons and excise. A strong section of the Cabinet is in favour of giving control of Customs and excise to the Irish Parliament, as otherwise the Irish National Convention will jeiect the Home Rule Bill.
