At a special meeting of the Hamilton Hospital Hoard, held to consider applications from out-districts for assistance towards resident doctors, maternity nurses, cottage hospitals, etc.. it was decided to appoint a maternity nurse to Tangiatu ( King Country) right away, and to «Tect a nurses' home to contain one or more rooms for urgent cases at. It -was decided I to inform the VVairakei residents, who applied for assistance towards a resident medical officer, thsrt so-aoon as they arc prepared to help themselves the Board will give consideration to their proposals.
