The annual meeting of the Fire Brigade Association Accident .-Assurance Society was held this evening, Captain Hansen (Westport) presiding. The report stated, that the brigades affiliated numbered 80 while the membership was 1600. The contributions amounted to £l9B 11/2r and the total receipts were £273 12/7. The payment for accidents amounted to £2lO 10/, and the total accumulated funds were £1723 8/, an Increase of £Bl 0/7 on the year. The management fuad receipts, including £26 19/5 carried forward, were £6B »/£ and eipendituseJE3o' 10/7. The position.ot the.society warranted tihe adoption of the same scale of rebate as kit year.
