LONDON WOOL SALES.

JPAIt TO 71 PER CENT DECLIKE. (Received 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, September 26. The London wool sales-opened to-day. The attendance of buyers was good and bidding wa3 brisk. The prices realised were par to 71 per cent decline. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable from its London office regarding the wool sales: —"The sales have opened with strong competition and a large attendance of buyers; prices are lower 5 per cent to per cent for nil kinds of crossbreds and all kinds of slipes; 65,000 bales of New Zealand wool are available."
