RACE FOR THE POLE.
SCOTT'S BETTER CHANCE. (Received 10.20 a.m.) FREMANTLE, this day. Frank Wild, a member of Dr. Maweon's expedition, has arrived. He expressed the opinion that, taking all things into consideration, Captain Scott had a better chance than Amundsen of reaching the Pole first.
