RUGBY. AUCKLAND JUNIORS BEAT .WAIUKU. The annual junior representative match between Auckland and Waiuku was the only match played at Alexandra Park °n. The Waiuku torwards led by Dicmgcoi took play to the homo team's quarter, but the relief was only momentary, the Auckland pack coming away with a great rush, a free pulling them up in a scoring position. Forgie followed up a long kick secured oa the bounce, ana dashed over at the cornet. Weston's effort to convert fell a little shott. Gordon secured in the ruck, and sent to Weston, who, after a big run, gave the ball to Ifwcrsen near the touch line, and this player stalling off opposition ran round behind the posts. Stanton was entrusted with the kick and ■ got the bar. The visitors now livened up, and Wilson,. Hammond, and Knight were prominent ifi some good work. A well-contested game resulted in a win for liuntly by 12 points to 11. For Huntly, Farrell, Pak'i, and iManderson scored tries, while Knri Martin kicked a goal from a, penalty. For Hamilton, Ellis, Farley, and Mann scored tries, Colthorpe converting one of the tries. Mr liughes (Hamilton) was referee. COROMANDEL. COROMANDEL. Saturday. In the Rugby Union football match, Coroinanrtei v. Warkwortli, the former won by 3 points to nil, the result of a try scored by F. McGninness. WELLINGTON BEATS CANTERBURY

A RUNAWAY WIN.

The matcli between Wellington and Canterbury was played to-day on tlic showgrounds. The weather was tiuc, and the ground in good order. Wellington won the toss, and Canterbury kicked oft against a light wind. From the first scrum Canterbury obtained possession, but a bad pass by Gray spoilt the chance, I'yle saving cleverly. Then Murray broke away, and Wellington gained relief by forcing. Wellington worked the ball back to Canterbury's quarters, and passing amongst the Wellington backs ended in Fuller rushing Evenson out near the corner. McKenzie (Wellington) marked, but Kinvig's kick was poor, and Canterbury forced. Canterbury rushed piny to the Wellington quarter, but Kiuvig replied with n good kick, which found the iine, and Wellington returned to the attack. When in a good position Evenson made a poor attempt at a pot, and Canterbury forced. The kick out ■brought no relief to Canterbury, who had to force ag.iiu soon after from a good, but unsuccessful pot by Ryan. From the centre Wellington took play to Canterbury quarter, but Miller relieved temporarily. Play was soon in Canterbury .territory again, Ryan finding the line with a good ldck. Evenson was pushed out near the line, but almost immediately Cunningham dashed over and scored. Atitahinsou made a poor attempt to convert. About 3000 people were on the Caledonian Ground for the annual Otago-Southland match this afternoon. Otago had the wind in the first spell. Scarcely three minutes were gone when the Otago forwards secured in au attacking position, and McDonald flashing round the open side of thft scrum got the backs going. The blues continued to make the game fast, and Southland were defending. The maroons gradually pulled themselves together, and a good rush had the blues in trouble. Patterson was playing a great forward game for the blues, who were again going as strong as ever. F. Williams just missed scoring at the corner.
