GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGAXUI, this day. Clements won the professional golf championship two up, not six up, as previously telegraphed. MAUKGAKIEKIE GOLF CLUB. The .monthly medal competition was played on September Oth. The following were the best cards sent in:—Mrs. Ridings, 30 net; Mrs. Hardy, -12 net; Miss Gordon, 4't net; Miss M. Walker, 45 net, Miss Prater, 4G net; Miss Souter, 46 net. THE CHAMPIONSHIP. The first round of the championship will be played on Wednesday, 13th. The following is the draw: —Miss Yonge plays Mrs. 'Lynch, Miss Souter plays Mrs. Hardy, Miss M. Walker plays Miss Prater, Miss M. Metcalfe plays Miss Macklow, Miss Gordon plays Mrs. Ridings, Miss Scott plays Miss Sellers.
