DEBATING SOCIETIES' UNION.
The sixth debate in the Athenaeum Cup competition was lieid on Thursday nigh:, and resulted as follows: — University A (Brook, Melville, Algie) 212 beat Training College (Burton, liamsay, Stubbs) 178. l'onsonby (Phillips, McMath, Gould) 232 beat Marlst Brothers (MeKenna, Mahon, Carroll) 204. Y.M.C.A. defaulted in favour of University B. This leaves University A and Pousonby (both unbeaten) to try conclusions at the, final debate on 'Thursday, September 21.
