WATERSIDE WORKERS' CONFERENCE.
BUSINESS CONCLUDED.
The waterside workers' conference concluded yesterday afternoon. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —President, J. Keed (Lyttelton) ; vice-president, H. R. Voyce (Lyttelton) ; secretary, G. McKay (Wanganui) ; organisers, D. McCarthy (North Island), H. R. Voyce (South Island). It was resolved that the incoming executive 'be empowered to fix the capitation levy above 1/ per annum if deemed advisable, .provided the rules are registered as revised. The next conference will be held in Wellington, and it was decided that the Wanganui union's executive be the federation's working executive for the ensuing year.
