SUPPLYING LIQUOR TO A YOUTH. DUNEDIN, this day. Tn the Police Court this morning Mr. Widdowson, S.M.. gave a reserved decision in cases against Mary Campbell and Alex. Campbell, licensee and barman of the Shamrock Hotel, charged respectively with allowing liquor to be supplied to a youth under 21 vears, and supplying liquor to him. This was the first case of the kind heard in Dunedin. The case against the licensee was dismissed, on the grounds that she had not knowledge of the act of supplying. The barman was fined 20/ and costs, it being decided that he committed a breach of section 202 of the Act. MISCELLANEOUS. GISBORNE, this day. At the inouest on Mrs. Christie, who drank lysol, a verdict of death from the effects of poison taken when in a stat« of insanity was returned.
