BOWLING.

The inler-club match between Mount Eden and Rocky Nook resulted as follows (Mount Eden teams mentioned first) : Cowell, Dickenson, A. Brown, Mcintosh (skip), 22, v. Williams, H. Mason, Hirst, Wakcrley (skip), 18. Allsopp, Mackay, Gatenby", E. B. Wright (skip), 23, v. Massey, Browne, Colledge, G. Fletcher (skip)j 20. Majority for Mount Eden, 7. These were remarkably keen games, worthy of the calibre of the skips. The North Island champion, Mcintosh, met a doughty opponent in Wakerley, sometime champion of champions in singles in Auckland, and at one stage of the game rbe score was 12 to 2 in Wakerley's favour; but a two and a six to Mcintosh, followed by a three, made the score 13 all; then the score read 16 all, when a three to Mcintosh and two singles to Wakerley gave Mount Eden 19, Bocky Nook 18, with three heads to go. Magnificent drawing by Wakerley was counteracted by deadly driving by Mcintosh, who won the game by 22 to 18. E. B. Wright, a member of Mcintosh's North Island champion team, also had a hard fight with G. Fletcher, who played with hard luck. At the 11th head the score was 13 all, when Roick Nook notched a 3. For the next five heads Mount Eden did the scoring, and led by 21 to 16. A two and two singles to Rocky Nook failed to reach the Mount Eden score, and the game ended in their favour by the narrow margin of three points.
