RATES IN GREY LYNN.

Ho the Editor.) Sir, —Regarding the complaints about increased rates in Grey Lynn, do the councillors expect a working man to lose a day's wages by knocking off work to go to their chambers to find out whether his taxes have been raised (or lowered) ? Evidently they do not study the working man. In better organised places ratepayers whose taxes nave been raised are notified through the post, and can write their objections then if thev have any. —I am, etc., RATEPAYER.
