•THE ARCADIANS." In "The Arcadians." which l.s to be produced by Clarke and Meynells New Knglish Opera Company at His Majesty's Theatre to-night, it is said ample proof j£ afforded that the huge sum of motley spent by Clarke and Meynell on the production has si cured an artistic triumph. The company, numbering nearly ltKt, the scenery, and general effects arrived by special steamei on Saturday, and the success of the productlim to-night is assured. In order that second-seat patrons shall not be excluded from witnessing the performance, the ■management have decided to hold ten rows of ordinary stalls for their convenience nightly. The box plan for thp last six nights will be opened at Wilduian and Arry's to-morrow (Tuesday) morning at 8 o'clock. OPERA HOUSB. There was a large attendance at the Opera House on Saturday evening, and all the turns presented were greatly enjoyed. The usual change of programme will be given tO-nlgllt. FULLER'S I'ICTUBES. To-night the usual bi-weekly change of programme will be given at the King's Theatre. Amongst the new pictures to be shown is one depicting the Koyal Ascot races, mil. STAK PICTURES. There was a large attendance at the Newmarket Public Hall on Saturday night, when a change of programme was presented. The pictures #lll Ik: screened again tonight. WEST'S riCTCHES. A picture of remarkable public interest will be presented at the Koyal Albert Hall this evening, being a portrayal of the launch of H.M.S. New Zealand, hi addition to the above, a fine programme of the latest film successes will be screened. A matinee Is announced to take place at the Lyceum next. THE RINKS. The attendance at the Royal Roller Rink on Saturday was as usual, excellent. The rink will be open to-day. The Glldeaway Rink still remains as popular as ever with Rkaters, and good attendances are the rule. A children's carnival Is to be held at the Prince's Rink on August 18, and a "Ghost" carnival on August 23. The Windsor Rink detinues a popular rendezvous for skaters. A snecial night is annonnced for August IS. A grand fancy dress and poster carnival is onnoitnced to take place at the Lyceum Kink, Onehnnga, on August 10.
