At Manirrewa yesterday Mrs. Jessie Osborne, mother of Mr. Osborne, manager of the Manurewa creamery, died suddenly. The doctor, who had been attj-il-ing the lady for asthma, intimated his willingness to certify that death was due to syncope, and the coroner has signified his approval. The deceased lady was 66 years of age. Mr. M. Sorrcll, of Wharton. Tx., U.S.A., who has been touring New Zealand, returned to Auckland yesterday, and leaves by the Tofua to-morrow on a visit to the Islands.
