HXTNTLY. A pleasant function was held on Monday evening by the members of the Huntly Presbyterian Church, when an opportunity was taken to show their appreciation of the many services rendered to the church by Mr and Mrs James Rock during their two years' residence iv Huntly. Mr Butler, home missionary, who presided over a large attendance, expressed the regret of the members at the severance of their guests' connection with the church owing to Mr Rock's transference to Auckland, and on behalf of the members asked Mrs Rock's acceptance of a handsome BJble and ease of silver spoons, as a token of the esteem In which she and her husband were held by them.' Mr Rock thanked them on behalf of Mrs Rock, and assured his hearers that anything they had done for the church was a labour of love., and they highly appreciated the honour conferred on them that evening. A pleasant hour or two was spent with songs, etc. CAMBRIDGE. On Monday evening Adjutant and Mrs Armstrong, of 'the Salvation Army, were farewelled at Cambridge, on their removal to Feildlng. They have only been in Cambridge for about six months, but they have done good work while there, and their removal means promotion. They will be succeeded 'by Captain and Mrs Hosking. Nearly all the clergy of the district were at the valedictory meeting, and they spoke tn the highest terms of the departing couple.
