A definite statement ia expected T»b.en t Parliament reassembles. \ WASHING'jTON", July 9. Senator Cummins' amendment to the Reciprocity Bill, proposing placing Canadian and iron and steel products, floux, lumber, coal, leather, ■woollen, and cotton 5 goods on the free list, was defeated by 32 '_ votes to 14.
