This afternoon, at the invitation of the chairman (his Worship the Mayor, Mr C J- Parr), the members of the Auckland and Suburban Board paid a visit by water to the drainage works at Orakei. The party inspected the storaae tanks now undeT construction, and \ 'various portions of the main outfall ' sewer and branch sewers. At the outer- , most end of the main sewer eight castiron pipes, 4ft in diameter and 12ft in length, have been laid down in two lines during the past few days, and five cradles have also been placed in position.
