HALF GEPFSLAND DESERTED. (Received 9.50 a.m.)] MELBOURNE, this'day. Continued heavy rains have caused Krious floods in Gippsland. Many dwelling are not habitable, and enormous damage to winter feed and crops has been caused. Onions and potatoes in pits have been destroyed, and farmers have been forced to remove their families. The eastern half of Gippsland is deserted. The Yarra is the highest for ten years, md is overflowing the banks at several places. Many vegetable gardens near Melbourne have been destroyed.
