AND MORNINGSIDE RESERVE.

WELLINGTON, this day. Mr. Fowlds is advised by the acting Postmaster-General in reply to his enquiry about the position in regard to the new post office at Kingsland, that plan 3 and specifications of a suitable building have been approved, and the district engineer of the Public Works Department at Auckland has heen instructed to invite tenders for its erection. Mr. Fowids has received a communication from the Acting Minister for Lands that the matter of the proposed recreation ground at Morningside has now been settled, and that' land of equal value to lobs 17G and 177 of section 10, suburbs of Auckland, is being set apart for educational purposes in lieu thereof. Steps are being taken to reserve the above I mentioned lots for recreation purposes.
